Greetings from Panther Pond!
The Timanous spirit is alive and well—we’re having a great summer of 2019. As always, the second half has really sped by, and it’s incredible to think this season is already almost over. I want to share an update from camp while we still have over 125 boys joyfully experiencing everything Timanous has to offer. Before we know it, the cabins and bunkline will be quiet once again.
It’s my first summer, and by all accounts it is just like any other summer that has come before. So while it may be new for me, it is comfortably familiar for the rest of the Timanous community, and I, personally, feel as though I’ve been here forever. But that is Timanous’ timeless effect on all of us—a profound sense of belonging.

Now that we have transitioned to nonprofit ownership, one of our key goals is to increase our financial aid program through the $1.5 million Sandy Tattersall Fund. This will help us serve more boys who can gain from the Timanous experience, and just as importantly, camp will benefit from their presence. For me, this initiative has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding aspects of our work this summer as I get to witness first-hand the many benefits to all.
As you know, we set an aspirational goal to reach $1,000,000 in Sandy’s Fund by this summer season. I’m very excited to report that we have reached this goal! We are all very grateful for the generosity of hundreds of supporters who have contributed. Everyone in the Timanous family should be proud of the groundswell of support that will allow us to serve a broader community of boys in the years to come.
Here’s to a wonderful end to the 2019 season, and to a continued bright future for Timanous.
